This game is absolutely gorgeous! The Christmas theme is so well done, it really gets you in the holiday mood. The tiles are super cute, with little Santa hats, reindeer, and candy canes. Even the background art feels cozy and festive. It's a joy just to look at while I'm playing. Perfect for winding down with a cup of hot chocolate during the winter season. The visuals make it really stand out from other mahjong games. Definitely a treat for the eyes!
Xmas Mahjong is a solid puzzle game. The core matching gameplay is exactly what you'd expect, which is great. I like that it offers hints and shuffles, because sometimes you just get stuck and need a little nudge. It feels strategic enough to keep me engaged without being overly complicated. Some boards can be quite tricky, which I appreciate, but others feel a bit too straightforward. A few more unique tile layouts or maybe timed challenges would make it a perfect five for me, but it's still a very enjoyable way to pass the time.
I was looking forward to a festive mahjong, but this one didn't quite hit the mark for me. It's okay, but it felt a bit too easy and repetitive after a few levels. The hints and shuffles are nice to have, but I found myself not really needing them much, which made the puzzles less of a challenge. I cleared most boards pretty quickly. I wish there were more difficulty settings or maybe some special objectives to keep things fresh. It's fine for a quick play, but I don't feel much incentive to keep coming back to it.
